Frequently Asked Questions
What does the title of your blog mean?
"Dare to Eat Peaches" comes from one of my favorite poems, "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" by T.S. Eliot. It is written from the point of view of a man very unsure of his life and making decisions - and near the end, the man asks himself, "Do I dare to eat a peach?...Do I dare disturb the universe?" I find it fascinating to think that something as insignificant as eating a piece of fruit could alter anything! So I want to dare to disturb the universe, make bold decisions, and live life freely - and I want to dare you all to do the same! Hence, "Dare to Eat Peaches".
How tall are you?
I'm 5'4" and have pretty short legs!
What do you do for a living?
My hubby and I operate two eBay reselling businesses full time. I elaborate on our reselling and business adventures here, and here!
Where did you and your husband grow up?
I was born in Las Vegas, and moved to Washington state when I was very young. I lived there for 13 years before returning to Las Vegas when my mother remarried after my parents' divorce. I went to BYU in Utah after high school, and that's where I met Seth! He grew up in Heber, Utah, so in Utah we've stayed!
Is your hair naturally red or dyed?
If you're referring to the occasional purple streak or random pink tips, then nope, not natural;) but I am definitely a natural redhead! Stay tuned to see if my daughter also has red hair. She's pretty bald so far.
Why did you quit school?
Education has always been very important to me, so I was very disappointed to have to leave BYU in my junior year of earning my Bachelor's in English and minor in Ballroom Dance. I elaborate in a post about my health issues HERE, but basically I had a lot of problems physically beginning in August 2014, which led to a diagnosis in September 2015 of a relatively rare condition that affects my day-to-day life and potentially fertility. I ended up getting pregnant at the end of 2015, and unfortunately had complications at the beginning of my pregnancy that made me unable to attend school. Now, I'm a stay-at-home mama to my perfect Hazel, and I help run our from-home businesses!
